But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. –John 4:23 NKJV
Do we sometimes feel that we can only worship God in church? Worshiping our Lord and Savior is not confined to one geographical location. Worshiping God is a matter of the heart. God sees our motives and knows the condition of our hearts. Deuteronomy 6:5 (NKJV) instructs the Israelites to love their God, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” The word “might” in Hebrew indicates totality. Are you loving God through worship with your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Do you have knowledge of your God? The truth about God is written in His Word. That’s why it is so important to read and seek Him in the Bible. God wants a daily relationship with you. He loves you and wants you to love Him and know the truth about His love for you. The more you know about God, the more you appreciate Him. The more you appreciate Him, the deeper you worship. The deeper your worship, the more God is glorified.
Remember, worship is an attitude of our spirit.
We must be born again with the Holy Spirit residing in us. In worship, we need a pure heart open and repentant. We cannot have a heart filled with unconfessed sin.
