Jesus is in the business of changing lives! Whether you serve on a worship team, small group ministry, outreach ministry, children’s ministry, admin positions, hospitality ministry, or any other ministry, you impact others for Jesus! His genealogy included several broken women—Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba. This list brings into Jesus’ history such things as incest, prostitution, and adultery. Perhaps this is why Jesus could relate to the woman at the well (see John 4). Here was a woman who had been married five times and was now living with another man. She comes to the well to get water in her jar, and who does she find there? The Son of God! He shares with her that the water she is seeking will run dry, and she will thirst again; but the water He is offering will never run dry. The Samaritan woman is so impacted and changed by her encounter with Jesus that she goes back to town and shares about this encounter with Jesus. People were so curious about this story that they hung out with Jesus for a few days and then became believers too! What is your story? How will you minister to the Samaritan women and others in your community who need to hear about Jesus? Reach out today.
Ask God to give you an awareness and tender heart to notice people who are hurting and need to know about Jesus.
