The gift of love was on Calvary’s Cross more than 2,000 years ago. It was an amazing sacrifice. All the forgiveness for our sins that we could ever imagine took place on the Cross. Jesus paid the price we could not pay. His love sets us free. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we have freedom. Freedom from hopelessness, despair, guilt, and darkness. It is a new life that sets us free and seals our destiny.We don’t have to fear death because it has no power over us. We receive the gift of eternal life when we ask Jesus to forgive our sins. It is nothing we could ever do to earn it, but everything Jesus did that gives us the way to our everlasting heavenly home. Earth is only our temporary dwelling. No matter what happens in the here and now, we have Jesus on our side forever. We have the final victory over Satan. God is preparing a place for us to live with Him for eternity, far greater than we could ever imagine. All of this is because of the Cross!
