What Determines Your Destiny?

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. –Romans 10:9 NIV

It’s not karma, the stars, or the earth that affects your eternity. It is a simple choice to accept the gift that God offers, and turn your life over to the care of God.Read Romans 10:9 above. It is a one-time decision. Done. Sealed by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-14 (MSG) tells us, “It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.”If you’ve never received Christ, what are you waiting for? Consider this short prayer: Dear God, I’ve worked hard to determine my own destiny; I’ve searched everywhere for You and I’ve failed. Today, I ask You to forgive my rebelliousness; take my life, I’m turning it over to You. Be my Lord and Savior. That’s it; if you sincerely prayed that prayer, there’s good news, your fate is sealed; you have a new life in Christ for eternity. And remember that all new life needs sustenance for growth. Let the Word of God, prayer, and fellowship with like minds nurture you and mold you as His plan for you unfolds.
