Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. –Psalm 100:2 NKJV
Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. –Psalm 100:2 NKJV
What is the first thing on your mind when you wake up in the morning? Is it the agenda for the day? Maybe it’s your children or your spouse? Or possibly the cares that you are dealing with at this time? Psalm 100:3 (NIV) says, “Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his….” Tomorrow morning when you wake up, say to God, “Good morning, Lord, for this is the day You have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). Our God has blessed us in such a special way and cares for us at every moment. He loves us so unconditionally that He deserves all of our praise in good times and bad. We are the sheep of His pasture and He never loses sight of us. Let us be thankful and bless His name, for He is present in the midst of our praise and our pain. Let your soul rise up and sing a joyful song. “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations” (Psalm 100:5 NKJV).
Help me, Lord, to rise up in the morning with a joyful heart as I start my day.
Fill my heart, Lord, with Your joy, and let Your joy be my strength in all circumstances.
