The Glory of God
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. –Psalm 19:1 NIV
Have you ever been to the mountains? While you were there, did you look up at the night sky? Did it seem as though you could reach up and almost touch the stars? While there, did you feel that sense of awe and the glorious peace from God? When you look up to the heavens, you are reminded of the Lord’s magnificence. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; and night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth…” (Psalm 19:1-4 NIV) How majestic it is to see God’s glory unfold as you look up to the heavens where the splendor of your Creator is clearly evident. It is a vast, spacious place where the glory and power of God is revealed day after day, night after night, and for all eternity. In the heavens, He created the stars, moon, and the galaxies, each reflecting His glory. So much is taken for granted. It’s easy to forget to thank God for the awesome beauty of His creation. Remember to thank Him, today.
