For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. –2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV
Did you know that many of the promises God made are fulfilled through Christ Jesus? One such promise occurred when the angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph saying, “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21 NIV).When Mary gave birth to Jesus, God’s promise was partially fulfilled. But it was not until Jesus died on the Cross and rose again that the promise was completed. Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection were stages to His becoming the Savior of the world. When Jesus walked this earth, He made promises. Some were fulfilled in the past, some are fulfilled, or partially fulfilled, in the present, while others remain to be fulfilled in the future when He returns. Many of the promises Jesus made are “conditioned” upon your faith in Him (see Matthew 21). Still others are conditional—based upon your obedience (see Ephesians 6:2-3). Always remember: God loves you unconditionally, Jesus is for you, and you have the promised Holy Spirit within you. The Spirit will guide you and lead you into all of God’s blessings and the fulfillment of the Lord’s promises.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you be obedient to God and to fulfill His mission and promises.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas in your life that are blocking you from receiving more of God’s blessings.
