Pain and problems are part of everyone’s life—you don’t escape them in this world. There may be times when you don’t feel God is answering your cry for help. Please know that you are not being ignored; He is working in your life. You may be going through a refining season. As difficult as it may be, when you are going through difficult times, rely and draw on God’s strength—strength that surpasses all understanding. Turn to Jesus by reading God’s Word, the Bible, where you will find verses that both strengthen and comfort, such as:

• Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT): “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
• Psalm 89:8 (NLT): “O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord? You are entirely faithful.”

• Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV): “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”

Pain and problems come and go from time to time, but your heavenly Father is with you every moment of every day and night.
