Knock! Knock! - Part One

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” –Revelation 3:20 NLT

“Knock! Knock!” “Who’s there?” What would your response be if the One knocking at your front door said, “It is I, Jesus. May I come in?”‍There could be three different replies:‍1. “O Lord Jesus, please come in and make Yourself at home. I’ve been preparing myself and waiting for Your second coming!”‍2. “Sorry, Jesus, You can’t come in right now. You caught me off guard. I’m not ready, nor have I been preparing myself for Your return. Could You come back another time?”‍3. “Jesus who? I don’t know who You are, nor do I recognize Your voice. I’m not opening the door.”‍Your particular response depends upon your current relationship and walk with the Lord, including your faith, obedience, and daily lifestyle.‍Jesus warns you to prepare for His glorious second coming. “Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning, as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks” (Luke 12: 35-36 NLT).
