God-Given Dream - Part One

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. –Genesis 37:5 NIV

God spoke to Joseph in a dream and revealed the plan He had for Joseph’s future. When Joseph shared the dream with his brothers, they despised him. Out of jealousy, they sold him into slavery. Despite Joseph’s captivity and hardships, God made a way for the inspired dream to come true. Eventually, Joseph was reunited with his family and said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people” (Genesis 50:20 NLT). Has God deposited a dream into your heart that stirs a profound sensation within you every time you think about it? Maybe God desires for you to become a missionary, an inspirational songwriter or speaker, a Bible study leader, or an author of a book that may influence many. The possibilities are endless. Although you have no idea how or when it will come to be, do not ignore the calling. Never give up on your God-given dream; trust in the Lord to carry it through to completion!
