Filled With Anger?

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. –Ezekiel 36:26 NIV

We live in a fallen world that is full of pain and disappointment. Over time, this pain might cause hearts to harden. A hardened heart has a difficult time accepting love from others because it doesn’t believe it is worthy of love. This heart will not help others. It is not receiving love; therefore, it has no love to give. Such a heart is full of anger, resentment, bitterness, and a lack of forgiveness. Romans 12:2 (NLT) says “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think….” Let God transform you and mold you into a new person. Allow Him access to your heart. He will give you a new heart—one that is warm and loving. You only need to ask and to be a willing participant in receiving His love. If you don’t see progress at first, don’t be discouraged. God may need to guide you into this new life, layer by layer. He will help you to overcome obstacles, and He will bring people into your life to encourage you along the way.
