What lies has the enemy of your soul tried to convince you of? His assault on your mind is subtle. He wants to influence your thinking. He wants to wear you down for his purpose. Stand firm and know he is a liar. Believe the fact that you are a child of God—you’re not perfect—only He is, but you are His child nonetheless. God is not looking for perfection. That is why He sent His Son, Jesus. Jesus says in Mark 2:17 (NLT), “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” You can always find help and hope in God’s love. Your brokenness and weaknesses are carried on His shoulders. Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) tells us, “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.” Then Christ will make His home in your heart as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
