Have you been around a young child who is learning to walk or jump? It’s so much fun! But the learning process usually involves quite a bit of energy and effort, not to mention the falling-down and getting-up-to-try-again part. It’s easy to forget, but in your God-family, you may have a new sibling who has no God-template, no background of who God is or what it means to be a God-kid—essentially someone who needs to learn how to walk, jump, and run. And you get to be part of the process. Cool, right? Remember your first days, those first lessons that were so hard to understand or learn? Now it’s your turn to teach others. Make a short list of the lessons that required trying, failing, and then trying again, and be ready for the newbie God is bringing or has brought to you. If YOU are a newbie, get ready for God’s amazing, exciting journey, and get ready to learn—to walk, run, and jump! God, thank You that You have a purpose and plan for how everyone lives and grows together! You’re amazing!
Thank God for helping you learn and grow, especially during the trial-and-error phases!
Ask Him to give you grace and wisdom in passing on the lessons you’ve learned to the newbies in your life!
