Appreciate Every Day

…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. –Philippians 4:11 NIV

Which is sadder—someone with so much love to give and no one to give it to, or someone who is given unconditional love and doesn’t appreciate it.? We all know people who would give anything to have someone in their lives to share things with. In contrast, we encounter those who continually gripe about someone who does everything possible to make them happy. But they’re never satisfied. None of us is perfect; therefore, no one can “make” us happy. True happiness comes from God. In every situation, if only we could appreciate what we have, who we are, and what we’re given, our lives would be greatly enriched. Even on the days when nothing seems to go right, we are so blessed. We ought to appreciate, with the deepest heartfelt joy, the love we’re given, and stop waiting for perfection here on earth. This life is temporary. We should not waste, not miss, and not lose one minute of the joy we are given. Today is an amazing day to make the best of everything. We’ll never get another chance to do this day over again. Let’s enjoy it all.

prayer focuses

Lord, help me to be content in every circumstance.

Thank You, Lord, for the life You have given me. Help me to not waste a moment of it.
